By accessing or using ConfigShield (“the Service”), operated by Obsidian Clad Labs LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Obsidian Clad Labs LLC.
ConfigShield is a secure environment variable management platform that allows users to encrypt, store, manage, and share secrets (such as API keys, database credentials, and configuration values) across development environments. The Service includes web-based management, API access, and CLI tools.
You must create an account to use ConfigShield. You agree to provide accurate, complete information and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
You agree not to:
You retain full ownership of all data, secrets, and configuration values you store in ConfigShield. We do not claim any ownership or intellectual property rights over your content. You grant us a limited license to store, encrypt, and transmit your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
We employ industry-standard security measures, including AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 for data in transit. However, no system is 100% secure. While we take every reasonable precaution, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You acknowledge that you use the Service at your own risk.
ConfigShield offers a Free plan and a paid Pro plan. Prices are listed on our pricing page and are subject to change with 30 days' notice. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. Refunds are available within 14 days of initial purchase. Failure to pay may result in downgrade to the Free plan.
Each plan has specific limits on the number of projects, secrets, and features available. If you exceed the limits of your current plan, you will need to upgrade or reduce your usage. We will not delete your data if you exceed limits, but you may not be able to add new projects or secrets until you are within limits.
You may close your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if continued operation would pose a security risk. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OBSIDIAN CLAD LABS LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Obsidian Clad Labs LLC, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of the State of New Mexico.
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
